OBITUARY.

MRS. ELIZABETH MARY

The death took place at the Palmerston X. Hospital this morning, after a brief illness, of Elizabeth Mary, wife of Mr David McEwen, of Hulke St., Fox!on, aged 50 years. The late Mrs McEwen was taken ill alumt a week ago and wns removed to the Palmerston X. Hospital for treatment on Wednesday. Iler case was considered serious and the family were summoned. A brief impiovcment, however, was reported yesterday Inti she subsequently lapsed into unconsciousness and passed peacefully away this morning. The late Mrs McEwen leaves a husband, two sons (Edgar and Reginald) and one daughter (Mrs Slade,, of Frank ton) to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and affectionate mother. The funeral will leave No. 2(i4, Church St., Palmerston N., at 2 p.m. on Monday for the Palmerston N. cemetery.
