RAILWAY GANGER’S DEATH,
Greymouth, Last Night. An inquest lield to-day re the death of Thomas Patterson, aged 50, a ganger, working on the fail - way between Greymouth and Omoto slip, who, early on Christmas morning, was found lying dead alongside the line at the wharf station, Greymouth. A verdict was returned that deceased met his death, which was due to a fracture of the base of the skull, through accidentally falling from a railway van.
