SUMMARY. The .following: is Hu* contents of Hie Inspector’s (Mr. Barron) report. .submitted to the last meeting of the M’anawatu Rabbit Board: — Since last meeting I have been engaged in the general inspection of properties in the Board area following up the Statutory notices sent out last month. With one or two exceptions the majority ol the country inspected, is in very fair order, and a certain amount of work is in progress, and especially good work is being done where tilling in ;.nd trapping of burrows is being < arried out. Farmers are realising the benefits to he derived from systematic work, and more work is being done at this season of the vear than was the ease last year.

Owing to the unreinunerate value „f rabbitting in this district now—from the rabbitefs’ point of view—ii is very hard to (get ra>ddiicrs at i his season of the year to carry out Hie necessary work, even though they may he paid a certain amount hv the farmer himself, and in many eases, at this busy season, sufficient Bine can not he devoted to the work, if the farmer himself has lo do it. The condition of the Board area as regards rabbits, is very fair, and a great improvement on the position obtaining at this time lasi vent.
