FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.
Tlio Foxton Tennis Chib held a shop day in Mr C. Billings’ premises on Saturday. Good Business was done and the club will benefit considerably from the effort. Following are the winners of competitions —Manicure set (29), Miss M. Stevenson; cigarettes (109), G. Thompson; dinner (138), W. Currie; ham (182), E. Cotter; chocolates (G), .J. M. Barr; chocolates (03), Miss Austin; Sunday tea (lb), Mrs. F. C. Hay; Voliatite (18), D. McMurray; Christmas cake, No. 1. (30),L. King; N 0.2 (9), Bruce MeMurray; No. 3 (G), Miss E. Barber. The competition for a bag of sugar was unfinished and will be drawn on Christmas Eve at Mr. Billings’ shop. The club wish to thank Mr. Billings for the use of his shop and all those who so generously supported the effort.
