POSTAL NOTICE.
From now until after the New Year a considerable number of parcels will be circulated through the Post Office. It will be impossible for the Postman to deliver very many of these, owing to the increase of other articles. A notice, however, will be left for any parcel lying at the Post Office, and as the room is limited, the Post Office staff will be grateful if residents will, on receipt of a notice, call for such parcels as soon as possible. It often happens that 1 ellex's are received at the Post Office addressed to an agent, such is “Agent. State Fire Insurance Co., Foxton.’ etc. It is impossible for the Post Office staff to deliver these letters, and they are returned through the Dead Letter (Office. -Agents of Insurance Companies, sports bodies, in fuel, any person representing some outside firm, would greatly assist the Postal officials if they would notify the particular firm which they represent. A list would then be kept at the Post Office, and any letter would be delivered promptly, thus saving delay to the addressee and worry to the Post Office staff.
