AIR. NICHOLAS APPOINTED TO THE VACANCY.
A congregational meeting of the above church was held last night, presided over by the Rev. G. T. Brown, ALA. (.Moderator), who explained the steps taken lo till the vacancy. He said great difficulty had been experienced in this connection as a number of charges throughout the Dominion were similarly circumstanced lo Foxton. Presbytery had decided to allow Foxton to remain a fully sustained charge. ITe had been successful in obtaining the transfer to Foxton of Air Nicholas, a fully ordained Home Alissionnry, who would take up his duties early in the new year. Air Nicholas was at present staloued at Ohnkune. The Aloderalor then spoke encouragingly to the congregation and asked for the whole-hearted co-operation of members and adherents on behalf of Mr Nicholas, whom lie warmly recommended. The action of the Aloherator was unanimously endorsed.
