Yesterday afternoon a number of visiting rinks were present on the local green, the occasion being a Centre gala day. The results of play were as follows: Wallace (s) 23. v. Tromson (s) 14. Clements (s) 15 v. Cunningham (s) 31. Von Hartische (s) 21 v. Woods (s) 19. A meeting of club members was - held in the pavilion last evening, when matters affecting the Club’s welfare were discussed. It was resolved finally that a series of card tournaments be eommfenced immediately after the New Year holidays. j*!3 The following rinks have 1 selected to represnt Foxton 'Club in the second round of the Triangular Shield contest, to he held at Levin on Wednesday next: — Mattar, Newth, Christie, Nve (s). Parkin, Walker, Woods, Bryant (s) Emergencies: Thomson, Whibley.
