CIGARETTE CASES.
WITH OBJECTIONABLE PICTURES. RETAILER FINED AT CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, Dec. 8. Edwin .T. Feardon pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to selling cigarette cases with indecent pictures on the outside, and with exhibiting them in his shop window. The defence said the eases had been bought from warehouses and were the same as sold in London and Sydney.
•Feardon was fined £5 on the first charge and convicted and discharged on the second.
