LEVIN SHOPPING WEEK.
The Shopping Week Carnival initiated by Levin businessmen, which commenced last Saturday attracted a considerable number of visitors to Levin during the afternoon and evening, the streets being thronged with a lively crowd busily engaged in seeking out the gifts that are waiting claimants. In this connection the Committee desire to point out that Cox ton residents are invited to participate, as 500 Householder folders have been sent to Coxton for distribution, and one in every thirty folders carries a “gift.” Altogether 3,000 circulars or folders bearing numbers have been distributed throughout the Horowhenua County and Cox ton, and as Levin quota was between 800 and 000 only consequently the bulk of the prizes are allocated to outside residents.
