BOWLING.

To-morrow afternoon has been set down as a Centre gala day for Foxton, and rinks will be present from Levin, Shannon, and Palmerston North clubs. Given good weather, a- very enjoyable afternoon’s piay_ should eventuate. Local bowlers and croquet players are asked to bring a basket to assist with the catering arrangements. Bowlers should be early on the green to facilitate the arranging of rinks. On Saturday last a gala day was held at Levin, when visitors were present from clubs in adjacent districts. One rink from Foxton was present, and although they never made a very good showing, they report that the clay was very enjoyable.
