FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the above was held in the secretary's office last night, presided over by Mr E. Woods (chairman). There were, also present: Messrs J. Iv. Hornblow, A. Stevenson, W. 11. Walton, A. Alsop, M. E. Perreau, Jno. Ross and R. Rangiheuea. (secretary). The headmaster (Mr F. Mason) was also in attendance. An apology for absence was received from Mr 11. Hutchins. Formal correspondence was read and dealt with and accounts totalling £l2 10/11 were passed for payment. Mr J. K. Hornblow stated that the Board had unanimously agreed to recommend to the Department that the building to accommodate the secondary and technical classes bo erected in brick. A resolution was carried expressing appreciation of the Board’s action and Requesting that the building be completed as early as possible in the new year. The visitors reported everything at both the central and side school as satisfactory. It was decided that the next meeting he held in February and that the chairman and secretary be empowered to attend to any urgent matter arising in the meantime. The season’s greetings were conveyed to members by the chairman and the good wishes reciprocated.
