GOOD MEETING AT LEVIN. ASLEEP WINS LAKE HACK HANDICAP. The Levin Racing Club’s annual meeting was held on Saturday in perfect summer weather and was largely attended. The course was in good order. The totalisator handled £18,573, £I,OOO less than last year. The details of racing are as follows: —< Manakau Hurdles: —Gauntlet 1, Matu 2, Tempean 3. Won by a neck, Time 2.44 1-5. Wferaroa Handicap. —Anchor 1, Panart 2, General Wai 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.31. Maiden Race. —Kilmezzo 1, Dominion Rose 2, Molto 3. 1\ on by two lengths. Time 1.15 1-5. Mako Mako Hack: —Lin Arlington 1, Vivo 2, Twink 3. Won by 1] lengths. Time 1.1411. Levin Cup: —Diogenes 1, Hipo 2, Kilfaire 3. Won easily. Time 2.0 3-5. Lake Hack Handicap: —Asleey (Mr J. Procter) 1, No Favours 2, Panart 3. Won by a neck. Time 1.57 2-5. McDonald Memorial :■ —First Acre 1, Star Shell 2, Joy Bird 3. Won by a, head. Time 1.30.
