BOXING.
The second tournament of: the Levin Boxing Association, was held in Levin last evening. All the limits were worth watching. ' Mark Carroll (Wanganui) <def'eated Boy Overend (Hastings) in the professional limit. Five amateur limits were staged, the results being as follows: — Midgets: —G. Maxwell and L. Maxwell, both of Levin, staged an exhibition bout. Flyweights.—X. Makey (Levin) (i. 3 v. W. Wit hey (Wellington) 5.10. The visitor lost the decision. Bantams: — W Hurne (Wellington) 7.10 v. E. Evans (Palmerston X.) 7.0. The Wellingtonian won. Featherweights.—T. Thomas 8.5 (Wellington) v. T. Holgate 8.8 (Foxton). The Wellingtonian won on a foul in the fourth round. Bantams. —J. Evans (Levin) Bst. v. H. Larsen (Wellington) 7.10. the Levin champion lost a good sixround fight.
