BOWLING.
A meeting of Committee was held last evening, when there were present: —Messrs M. E. Perreau (President), Barr, Thomson, Walker, and Downes (secretary). The resignation of Messrs J. Newton and R. Rangiheuea were received with regret. The following new members were elected :—Messrs M. Newth, Webb and Roehford. If was decided that an endeavour be made to send one rink to the opening of Oroua Club (Feilding) on Saturday next. Mr M. 11. Walker was appointed to the vacancy on the Selection Committee caused by the resignation of Mr Roore. It was resolved to hold a five hundred evening every Thursday, at Mr J. M. Thomson’s residence, and to award aggregate prizes at end of season. It was also resolved that the Wliford Cup be utilised as a pairs championship trophy, entrance fee 1/- per member. The following is the draw for the first round: — Bari' and Perreau v. Mattar and Downes. MeColl and Smith v. Huntley and Cowley. Woods and Webb v. Bryant and Walton. v Thomson and Parkes v. Pearson and Roehford. Admore and Rimmer v. Nye and Yeo. Wfatkcr and Parkin vl Newth and Spring. Christie and Whibley a bye. Handicaps are posted in the Club’s pavilion.
