HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Air J. Linklater, ALP. has consented to open the Foxton Horticultural Society’s summer show next week. SHOW NEXT WEEK. On Thursday next the Foxton Horticultural Society will hold their summer show. The weather has not been kind, but has treated all) alike. The committee hopes that there will be just as many entries as usual in all sections.Exhibitors are asked to bring their own bottles for the collections and their own plain clear glass vases for the tables without embellishments. There id to be a prize for the decorated tables with embellishments by popular vote. Everyone attending the show is entitled to a vote. The tables will be numbered and each voter just puts the number of the table which he or she considers on a piece of paper and places it in a box, the votes being counted at 9 o’clock and the result announced before the judge’s decision is made known. Contributions to the cake stall will be gratefully received by Mrs Heasman or the secretary. Note Nos. 21, 37, 91. 142.
