BOWLING.

There was a good attendance of howlers on the local green yesterday afternoon, and a very enjoyable time was spent. The principal games of interest wore between the two rinks selected to represent the local club in the Triangular contest at Shannon on Wednesday next. The results of play showed that tlie rinks wore evenly matched. • Two games were played, one of 21 heads and another of 15 heads, throughout which the .scores stood very even. The first game resulted in Thomson’s rink gaining a margin of three points over Nye’s rink, and the second game ended in even scoring. The Oroua Bowling Club (Feildino ) are opening then; green on Satunlay, 27th inst., and have extended an invitation to Foxton Club to he represented.
