SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
The Citizens’ Committee are holding a danee in the Royal Theatre this evening. The Citizens’ Committee will hold a five hundred evening in Gr/dy’s rooms to-morrow evening. The Fibre weekly dancing class will he held this evening in the Anglican schoolroom, intend of tomorrow evening. The Fibre Committee have arranged a return concert bv the Levin Maoris in the Royal Theatre tomorrow night. The Snorts Committee will have an evening garden party at the residence of Mrs TTornblow, Thvnne St., to-morrow evening. The silk jumper drawn for at Mangahao for the Fibre Queen, was won by Mr Allan Humphries, Mangahao. A euchre party was held in Grady’s rooms on Wednesday night for the Sports Queen candidate. First prizes were won by Mrs Ross and Mr Gupwell; seconds by Miss Gupwell and Mr McPherson. Point? prizes for the season were won by Mrs Calder and Mi- Williams. A euchre party was held in Hamer’s on Tuesday for the Fibre Queen candidate. First prizes were won by Mrs Tuna and Mr Parkin, seconds bv Mrs Vertongen and Mr Anderson. Points prizes for the season went to Mrs McCarthy and Mr Fuller. The executive wish it to be known that the Carnival closes on Tuesday 23rd November, at 7.45 p.m. Anyone who has not contributed to. this worthy cause will have an opportunity of doing so up to that date. Donations can be given to Queens, nr sent direct to the organiser (Mrs Pearson). '
