OBITUARY.
MR. A. E. GREEN. The death occurred on Monday, Bth inst., at Khandallah, Wellington, of Mr Arthur Ernest Green, formerly of Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough and Foxton. The late Mr Green was a son of the late Mi' Edward Green, “The Sands,” Nelson. The interment took place at Karori Cemetery, the Rev. R. G. Finch officiating at the graveside. Members of the Khandallah Bowling Club, of which 'deceased was a member, acted as pallbearers. Mr Green’s kindly disposition earned for him a wide circle of friends and the many beautiful floral tributes and messages of sympathy testified to the esteem in which he was held. During the late Mr Green’s residence in this district he was engaged in dairyfarming at Moutoa and was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends. He was a member of the local Racing Club and gave practical support to any movement for the social and general welfare of the district. The late Mr Green leaves a widow and one daughter and two sons to mourn their loss, to whom the sympathy of (he local public will be extended. Mrs John Robinson, of Lady’s Mile, was a niece of Mr Green.
