FATAL MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT
FLOCK HOUSE TRAINEE KILLED Pahiatua, November 15. George Vinton (aged 15) died in the Pahiatua Hospital on Sunday morning as the result of very severe injuries to the head and two fractures of the left leg. He was knocked down on the main Masterton road on Saturday afternoon by a car driven by Mr. John Drummond, and conveying a party of Dannevirko howlers to Pahiatua. Vinton was a former Eloek House trainee, and had been employed for the past three months by Air Richard Iladfield, a farmer, near Woodville. lie was walking along the road when the car approached, and it is reported that the car was passing a motor lorry, which was proceeding fo Woodvillc. Vinton came to the Dominion from London early in the year. An inquest was openel this morning and adjourned.
