FREEZING DISPUTE
SITUATION EASIER Hastings, November 3rd. Important developments are likely to occur in connection with the freezing trouble within the next twenty-four hours. Representatives of the men who are prepared to resume work with different freezing companies called on the Mayor (Mr. Maddison) this morning about certain important matters in connection with meetings called byj the union’s district secretary to decide regarding non-re-sumption of work by members of the union. Members of the farming community waited on the Mayor this afternoon to discuss the situation.
The general feeling is that things are easier.
