CRICKET.
The annual meeting of the Shannon Cricket Club was held, on Wednesday evening and was largely attended. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron: Mr E. Butt (Mayor); president: Mr J. P. Goodwin; vicepresidents: Messrs L. Randall, G. G. Mitchell, H. Hook, J. Curran, F. King, A. Hunt, E. Spencer, T. Moynihan, T. Thwaites, C. Franks, C. Young, A. Blackwood, J. W. Murray, J. A. Roach and A. A. Hibell; management and selection committee: Messrs P. Morgan, S. Newth, T. Spring, G. Hemmingsen, and M. Crawford j secretary: Mr R. Bishop.
