CITIZENS’ CONCERT.

There was a fair and very appreciative audience at the concert given in the Royal Theatre on Thursday night by a Palmerston N. concert party, organised by Mr Rogers, in aid of the Citizens' Queen candidate. The programme consisted of vocal, instrumental and elocutionary items, and the, performers were accorded splendid receptions. The only local performer was Master J. Barrat, who contributed a vocal item. The party have consented to give another concert at a later date, when an entirely new programme will be submitted, which should attract a bumper house. A special word of praisst is due to Mr Rogers for organising the function.
