Sin Alan Cobham’s short flight to Manchester nearly brought disaster the other day, says an English cable. The aviator was late for the lunch given in his honour, arriving at 3.30 p.m. in a fresh machine, af’ter having} had to walk for miles to secure it. “Hullo everybody.
