KEEPING COMMON GAMINGHOUSE
Christchurch, Last, Night. The officials of the Trades Hall were surprised recently to find that the police had suspicions about the bona fides of Henry Francis Mase, one of their tenants. Mase appeared to-day before Mr La wry, S.M., charged with using room 9 of the Trades Hall, as a "common gaming-house on October 1, and also charged with establishing a scheme by which prizes were gained by chance. Defendant was remanded until November 3.
