ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.

Cai’terton, Last Night. Walter Dudson, aged 33, a schoolteacher, at the Carterton District High School, accidentally shot himself in the back yesterday, when rabbit-shooting at Ponatahi. He had used the left and right barrels. One rabbit was wounded and Dudson hastily reloaded and ran towards the game, when the trigger caught in some scrub, with the result that both barrels exploded, the charge severely lacerating muscles of his back. The injured man was conveyed to a private hospital in Carterton. His condition is not regarded as serious.
