AN UNUSUAL VISITOR.
An unusual visitor made his appearance on Victoria Park on Thursday in the person of a pnkeko. After taking a survey of the grounds, the bird wandered up the Ilimatangi road and disappeared to the less frequented parts beyond the outskirts of the town. These birds are very numerous in the swamps of Moutoa, and, of course, are protected.
