FOXTON CRICKET CLUB.
A general meeting of the above Club was held in W'alls’ rooms on ■Thursday evening, presided over by the president (Mr Tongs). A letter was received from the Ilorowhenua Cricket Association, slating that the first meeting would be held in Levin on Monday night. —Messrs Tongs and H. Taylor were appointed delegates. Mr Newth handed in his resignation as secretary, and Mr B. Hinds was elected to the position. The following were elected a selection committee: Messrs W. Howe, H. Ross and B. Hinds.
Mr J. Madden was elected a member of the Committee.
Mr W. Howe was unanimously elected captain of the Saturday team.
Mr Gus. Kruse was appointed Club umpire. It was decided that thd Club colours be light and dark blue. It was decided to procure two trophies for the best bowling and batting averages for the season. The usual compliment to the chair terminated the meeting.
