COBHAM’S RETURN

London, September 24

As a result of consultations between the Air Ministry and the Office of Works it has been decided that the project that Captain Alan Coblmm should land on the Serpentine in Hyde Park is impracticable. Enormous crowds are bound to assemble in Hyde Park, which, being a Royal Park, cannot: be fenced, and there would be serious risks of people being pushed into the water. Captain Cobham instead will probably land in the Thames between Westminster and Chelsea.
