BOY SCOUTS
AH Vasey visited Foxton yesterday to put lhe local)scouts through their tenderfoot examination. All passed with high marks, and Mr Vasey commented upon their exrellenl pass. Sister Elliot, who accompanied Air Vasey, explained what the Wolf Club was and its objects, and outlined the work that could he done by the cubs. :
Mr Vo Bey then gave a talk on the work of scouting, after which Major Sandel put the Scouts through the initiation ceremony and declared them as belonging to the brotherhood of scouts, at the same time giving them plenty of good advice as to the carrying on of the work* The Mayor (Mr M. E. Perreau) acted as chairman, in the absence of the Rev. W. 11. Walton.
Super was handed round b\ the ladies and Girl Guides and Mr Yasey entertained the boys with a few games at the (dose of the ceremony.
