Highly sensitive women, who have been born blind, are said to have preferences for certain colours to handle. Usually they like blues, but don’t care for reds. Horses used by the London Metropolitan Police have been shod with rubber shoes as an experiment, to see if this will prevent slipping on stone-paved roads. Clover is one of the common plants which are said to foretell the weather. Its leaves feel rough when a storm is approaching, and it! contracts its leaves during rain.
