DANNEVIRKE HUNT CLUB
MEETING
Very inclement weather was experienced for the Dannevirke Hunt Club’s meeting on Thursday, snow falling at the conclusion of the meeting. Nevertheless a good racing programme was provided. The totalisator handled £8,331, against £9,521 under good conditions last year, a decrease of £1,200.
The results are as follows: — Ashcott Hunters’ Hurdles. —Tamakana 1, Haumariri 2, Panehito 3. Won by three lengths. Time 3 mins.
Oringi Hack Hurdles. —Handy 1, Arch, Salute 2, Lady Passenger (P. Mcßrearty) 3. Won by a length. Time 2.59 1-5.
Takapau Novice Stakes: Starboard Light 1., Powhiri 2, Rakauponga 3. Won by two lengths. Time I.G 2-5.
Hunt Club Steeplechase. Gay Bobbie 1, Oneroa 2, Aotea Roa 3. Won by two lengths. Time 5.17. Rakaiata Flat Handicap.—Rahepoto 1, Esthonia 2, Panart 3. Won by six lengths. Time 1.50. Kakahukura Hack Handicap. Inner Harbour 1, Black Mint 2, Hypnotic 3. Won by one and aquarter lengths. Time 1.20. Akitio Ladies’ Bracelet.—Tamakana 1, Mount Clyde 2, Lombardo 3. Won by half a length. Time 2.20. Ivaitoke Hack Handicap.—Lin Arlington 1, Othon 2, Bov 3. Won by a short head. Time 1.34 J.
