Parker (New Plymouth), 4£min., lhr. 44min. 18 sec. 1 E. Ellis (Brookside), 2mm., lhr. 41min. 49sec 2 C. Austin (Riccarton), 3min., lhr. 42min. 40see. 3 G. Rae (Christchurch), BAmin., lhr. 48inin. 23sec. 4 E. Christiansen (Christchurch), 74min., lhr. 47min. 24see. 5 P. Putty (Ashburton), BJmin., lhr. 48min. 27 sec. , 6 Ellis made the fastest time and won the championship. C. L. Burnard (scr.) made second fastest time, lhr. 42min. 19 sec. Burnard finished with his head covered with blood.
