AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE SITE.
LAND AT PALMERSTON NORTH TO BE ACQUIRED.
Some form of unanimity was reached in the House yesterday in regard to the Agricultural College Bill. The Government has given an undertaking that the land at Palmerston North will he acquired as intended, and that in the meantime the council to be created will concern itself only with teaching and research in connection with the dairy industry. During the recess the full nature of the offer of Lincoln College will be investigated in its relationship to a complete Dominion scheme, and amending legislation will be introduced next session.
