SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
The weekly euchre party conducted by the Fibre Committee will be held in Hamer’s Sample Rooms this evening.
The Sports Queen Committee held a very successful shop day on v Saturday last. The committee wish to thank all those who contributed in any way towards the success of the day. The following are the results of competitions conducted: Dinner, R. Heta; tea, (47) Mrs .Osborne; chocolates (93), W.^J. Roche; tea set (99), Mrs M. Kerehana; stockings and garters (43), Mrs Willie Robinson; handkerchief and tie (98) M. Kennedy; Potatoes (57), Mrs Walls; half sheep (weight) 0. Wilson and Mrs Baker (27.11b5); half sheep (number) (39), Miss N. Spring; pig, W. Neville and Mrs Calder; sugar (5), Miss S. Moore; soap and powder (60), Mrs F. de Bidder. A “Back-to-Childhood” dance was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night for the Sports Queen Candidate, a good number being present. An enjoyable time was spent. The prize for best dress went to Miss G. Hoffman.
