AUSTRALIAN WIFE DESERTERS

Auckland, Last Night.

A charge of deserting his wife in Australia was preferred against Abraham Alfred Gollinger, aged 36 (Mr A. Moody) in the Police Court. Constable Fisher, of New South Wiales, said the warrant had been issued for the arrest of accused in Sydney. ' x - Mr Moody submitted that accused should not lie sent back to Australia, in view of the fact that lie had a good position here. It would not be fair.

The Magistrate made an order for accused’s return to Sydney to be dealt with by the police there. A similar order was made in the case of Charley White, aged 23, charged with deserting his wife in Australia.
