HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 28th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market, firm, ‘J’ grade, Aug-ust-October shipments sold up to £45 10/-; September-November shipments £46; Sisal dull with sellers. No. 1 Tanganyika and Kenya £43. The New Zealand market is quiet with sellers, high points, at £3B; buyers at £37 any position; fair, sellers, £35; buyers £34 10/-. Common, early shipments, sold at £32.”
