(To The Editor). • Sir, —Probably some people were amused on reading of the motor cyclist who leaped the drain in the Avenue, as reported in your last issue, but it might have been more serious. In any other town than Foxton a red flag would be flown showing there was work under way, hut here we take the risk. It is usual also, to notify the public when the water supply is to be cut off and not cut it off without notice and so causing inconvenience to many residents. These matters should be more importance than the parking of a ear on a moonlight night without a light fore and aft.—Yours etc. STIR-EM-UP.
