EARTHQUAKE.
At about 1.50 o’clock this afternoon Foxton experienced a severe earthquake, accompanied by a rumbling noise. People indoors made for the open during the quake, but so far no damage is reported. The Avorkmen 'on the top of the Toavii Hall Avere under the impression that the brick Avails Avere about to fall as the scaffolding poles swayed dangerously.
