DAIRY CONTROL.
TO BE OPERATIVE NEXT WEEK. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board’s policy of control of the export of dairy produce from the Dominion will take effect at midnight on August 31. The Board has arranged in connection with shipping that as far as possible all the produce in store, which was carried over from last season, will be shipped by the end of August. All the produce in the South Island has already been shipped. In the North Island the Tongariro which will finally sail from Auckland on August 31, and the Athenic, sailing from Wellington about August 28, will idear all the butter and cheese at the ports of New Plymouth, Wanganui, Patea, Wellington and Auckland, thus giving reasonably clear decks for the new policy, for which arrangements are well in hand.
