THREW A SAUSAGE
TROUBLE IN PORKSHOP. The case of the proverbial bull in the china shop had a parellel in Wanganui one evening last week (says the Chronicle), when Edward Lonergan got loose in a porkshop in the Avenue.
He first purchased a black pudding, paid for the delicacy, and then tried to borrow 2s 6d from the butcher. Hailing to ilo so, he went outside, broke the pudding, and returned to the shop to demand a. refund of his money. When lie met with another refusal he made menacing gestures with the pork-but-cher’s knives and forks, and finally threw a German sausage at him. The tale of these misdeeds was unfolded at the Magistrate’s Court, before Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., when Lonergan was fined 15s for drunkeness, and 25s and for disorderly behaviour.
