DAIRY CONTROL BILL PASSES.
AMENDMENTS DEFEATED. The Dairy Produce Export Control Amendment Bill emerged from committee in its original form and passed its final reading. Mi’. Nash’s amendment for the postponement of control for a further twelve months was rejected by 50 votes to 19, Labour voting solidly with the Government . Afr. H. E. Holland’s amendment which sought to establish the principle of one man one vote, was next put, and was defeated by 54 votes to 15. Three amendments against control, moved by Air. Veiteh, were defeated on the voices.
