HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 31st inst., reads:—Hemp, Manila market is firm at the advance. “J” grade August-October shipments sold £42 and buyers. Sisal market quiet, Tanganyika No. 1 July-Sept ember shipments quoted £43 sellers, but no buyers over £42 10s. New Zealand market continues quiet, with little speculative business reported; highpoints £3O 10s, fair £33 10s; consumers not interested.
