Linklater asked the Minister of Public Works whether he will, without delay, authorise the extension of the Foxton railway to the Manawatu Heads, which is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in New Zealand. Yesterday the Hon. Mr. Williams (Minister of Public Works) extension of the Foxton railway to the Manawatu Heads has been fully investigated and the prospect from a financial standpoint is of such a nature, as to preclude any likelihood of the extension being undertaken..
