JUNIORS: Junior Trial at Shannon, 2.50 p.m. THIRDS: : Trial game at Levin, 1.30 p.m. Northern v. Southern. FOURTHS: Levin D.H.S. v. Shannon at Weraroa, .1.30 p.m. Foxton v. Foxton D.H.S. at Foxton, 1.30 p.m. THE BEBBINGTON SHIELD. ITS RETURN TO HOROWHENUA. The shield donated by Mr. Bebbington in 1921 has at long last come to Horowhenua. When the challenge table was drawn up there was much speculation as to its first rosting-plaee, but after the first two or three games the issue was not very much in doubt. Rangitikei and Horowlienna first clashed for it on the 24th May, 1922, the former winning 11—fi. On lOtli .Tune following this match the winners met Bush who defeated them by 8 points to fi. Tn July of 1923, Bush boat Horowhenua fi—3. and the former then followed this with a succession of wins right up to 192(1. The matelies, in their phrenological order are: —

With the inclusion of Oroua RubUnion in the competition and improved combination and tactics on the part of our rep. team, the fixtures in future should be extremely interesting. Now that the Shield lias come home, it is hoped it is here to stay.
