FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A committee meeting of the above Social v was held in Ross' rooms Inst evening. Present: Mr. I). Christie (President), Mesdames J. M. Barr, E. Murphy, P. Easton, I!. AC-Murray, R. Aloore (secretary), Bovs. Perymnn and Walton and Mr Tver. The president reported that Mr. R. N. Spoil's had agreed to loan the necessary limber for erecting tables for the spring show free of charge. It was decided to order 12 dozen jasper vases in two sizes, and to obtain prices for 8 dozen tin vases. Donations were received from Ah'. A. Gibson, of Marlon, two special prizes of bulbs valued at 10s (id and 5s for nine bulbs, narcissus, any division; Miss Hughes, special prizes for the best trumpet in the show and best bulb other than the trumpet and a donation was also received for a special .class of three, blooms, one or more varieties of trumpet, incoms and ledsii, first, 10s; second, ss, and third, 2s (id. It was decided to delete classes for decorative tables from the spring show.
