FIRE POLICE.
FIRE BRIGADES BILL PASSES.
The Fire Brigades Bill was reported back to the House yesterday by the Statutes Review Committee. The commitee recommended the inclusion of a clause providing that every person enrolled as a member of volunteer Are police established by a lire board, shall be enrolled by the chairman of the board, and his services accepted for one year from the date of his enrolment. He i 6 to he sworn in before a justice, and thereafter, during the period of his service under the tire police, is to have all the power and authority and responsibility of a constable.
