FOXTON CARNIVAL NOTES.
To-day the flags denoting the positions of the four queen candidates were hoisted by the organiser (Mrs Pearson), the positions being as follow: —Sports (yellow and black) 1, Citizens (red and green) 2, Farmers (blue and tangerine) 3, Fibre (yellow and royal blue) 4. A dance will be held in the Masonic Hall this evening under the auspices of the Sports Queen Committee. Arrangements are completed for a good time for all. Owing to unavoidable reasons, the Fibre Queen’s euchre party that was to have been held in the Town hall on Tuesday evening, will be held in Hamer's iSample Rooms, Main Street. ■ An enjoyable evening was spent in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday night when a dance was held for flic Fibre Queen candidate. At the dance to be held on Wednesday evening next, by the Farmers’ Queen Committee, a spot waltz and novelty dance will be included in the programme. The competition for the box of chocolates will also be drawn.
