SERIOUS CHARGE.
YOUNG MAN REMANDED. Palmerston North, July (i. A serious allegation was made at the Magistrate’s Court this morning against a young man of 19 years of age, of Palmerston North, who was charged with on or about April 8, at Rahotu, unlawfully carnally knowing a girl of nine years. On the application of the police accused was remanded to appear at New Plymouth on July 9. Bail was allowed in the sum of -£4OO, with two sureties of £2OO.
