EDUCATIONAL.
Before commencing business at last night’s High School Committee meeting the Chairman (Mr. Woods) congratulated Mr. Hornblow on being elected unopposed to a scat on the Education Board as icprescntative for the southern ward. He said that Mr. Ilornblow would be the right man and in the right place and referred to his collection with educational matters for many years. Mr. Hornblow had reluctantly consented to nomination, but his experience and services would be of benefit to the district. • Mr. Perreau endorsed the chairman's remarks.and added that Mr. Hornblow’s election to the Board would meet with the approval of not only Foxton, but the whole district. In acknowledging the eulogistic remarks of members, Mr. Hornblow said much of his time was taken up with public affairs, and while he did not desire to shirk service, lie felt diffidence in accepting further responsibilities. He would, in the meantime, do his best as a member of the Board for the educational welfare not only of Foxton, but of the district as a whole (applause).
