Bared knees have been barred for women athletes, according to a decision of the Frenchwomen’s Sporting Federation, a special committee ofT which, aghast at the abbreviated shorts, and absence of sleeves at a recent sports gathering, decided that in future sleeves must reach to quarter length arm, and shorts reach four inches below the knee, which is lower than the average, Parisian'frock. Shorts must also be dark in colour.
